During my studies of restoration at Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, I have made several copies of Old Masters as a part of studying program. I have always kept the original historic technologies. The copying took place inside the exhibiting area of National gallery, during the normal operation for public. My easel was always placed side by side with "The Old Master", and I used to learn from Him… :)
After graduating at Academy, I got the Conservator–restorer license. The licence includes the allowance to restore the paintings on canvas, wooden boards, polychromed wooden sculptures, and of course the restoration of the wall paintings and the complete stratigraphic examinations of the historical buildings.
